Structural Plastic Lumber is an innovative construction material that is made from recycled plastic and reinforced by fiberglass. It is uniquely suited for outdoor structural applications that require superior strength and exceptional durability.  

Structural recycled plastic lumber offers a real alternative to treated wood and all the inherent problems associated with it. When used in outdoor applications, traditional treated wood requires costly maintenance and regular replacement because it is constantly being battered by the forces of nature. While chemically treated lumber typically lasts 4-10 years, plastic lumber stands up to the forces of nature with a guaranteed life of 50 years

Structural plastic lumber is manufactured with HDPE and fiberglass elements to act as a reinforcing agent to the HDPE.  The lumber is molded in oen piece per specified size and length.  All materials have UV additives to prevent deterioration of the plastic lumber from exposure to UV light.  This product will not rot, split, crack or splinter for a minimum of 50 years and is resistant to termites, marine borers, salt spray, oil and fungus.   

The addition of fiberglass makes structural plastic lumber stronger than other plastic lumber products. Its exceptional strength makes this grade of plastic lumber the construction material of choice for outdoor structural applications. 

The plastic and fiberglass mixture is heated and continuously extruded and then formed into the desired shape, cooled and cut. The continuous extrusion process produces plastic lumber with a high-density solid outer layer, and a less dense cellular inner core, both favorable characteristics for strength and weight.

Structural plastic lumber is remarkably versatile and easy to use. It is manufactured in a wide variety of sizes, and is available in any transportable length.
