Recycled Plastic Sheeting Recycled Plastic Sheeting is
a super-tough, high density polyethylene product used for farm, home
or leisure construction. The
sheeting is ideal for dairy barns, confinement buildings, kennels and
many more farm & industrial applications.
Recycled Plastic sheeting outlasts most conventional
construction materials and is available in a wide variety of thickness
and sheet sizes. Available
in White or Black, and also now Flat or
Corrugated Sheeting. Compare this
maintenance-free product to conventional building materials which
require constant maintenance to prevent yellowing, splintering,
rotting, delamination or rusting.
The price is also affordable when you consider how long it will
outlast conventional building materials that need replacing every few
years. Installation Instructions: Allow sheeting to rest in building for at least 24 hours before install. During this period, maintain the building at normal operating temperature. This allows the product to assume the temperature characteristics of the building, minimizing expansion or contraction after installation. Install boards at normal operating temperature. Drill oversized pilot holes through the sheet for each fastener (1/4" diameter hole is usually adequate). Keep holes at least 1" from any edges of the plastic. Closer than 1" will cause weakness and possible splitting at the edges. Always leave 1/8" gap between flat boards. Install using stainless steel bugle head screw with flat ¼" stainless washers. Note sheeting is slick when wet, so the product is not recommended for flooring applications.
